James Huh, CPA

James (Keum) Huh is the founder of Sierra Tax and Accounting LLC. A former entrepreneur himself, James understands the real-world challenges small business owners face and brings a practical, experience-driven approach to every client relationship.

James began his financial career after graduating from Hanyang University, gaining early experience in financial analysis and due diligence at a full-service securities firm in Korea. James later earned his MBA from the University of British Columbia, strengthening his foundation in strategic and modern financial management.

After moving to the United States, James owned and operated businesses in the import, e-commerce, and gig economy sectors, giving him firsthand insight into cash flow management, inventory control, and a wide range of tax issues. He also gained brief firsthand exposure to federal tax procedures and compliance standards during a short tenure with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Revenue Agent.

James specializes in translating complex tax and accounting matters into clear, customized strategies—helping clients move confidently beyond the books and focus on long-term success.
